The Department of Animal Production established in 1985 is one of the oldest in the Faculty of Agriculture. It is the largest Department by staff strength with 18 Academic Staff positions, 4 Technologist/Laboratory staff, and 4 Departmental staff positions, 25 of which are currently occupied.....

Welcome to the Department of Animal Production, University of Ilorin, where we train undergraduate and postgraduate students in the area of Animal Nutrition, Genetics and Breeding, Animal Physiology and Animal Products and Processing. The Department has 22 Academic Staffs with 21 Ph.D. Holders including one Adjunct Lecturer and three Visiting research fellows from China, Russia and the United Kingdom.
