Dr. Afolabi Taoheed Yusuff, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Animal Production, Faculty of Agriculture. He holds a Ph.D. in Animal Production with a specialization in Animal Breeding and Genetics. He is currently the Level Adviser and the Examination Officer for the Department of Animal Production. He has served as a Farm Practical Training Coordinator and as a member of the Teaching and Research Farm Management Committee. He started his academic career in 2003, at the College of Agriculture, Zuru Kebbi State (now the Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru, Nigeria). He joined the services of the University of Ilorin in 2015. He has supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has worked extensively on the genetic appraisal and improvement of West African dwarf goats for leather and dairy purposes. He has over twenty-five national and international publications. Molecular approach to the genetic improvement of livestock is one of his future research targets.
