Animal Production

Stephen A. Bolu is a Professor of Non-Ruminant Nutrition in the Department of Animal Production, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin, and a former Dean of Postgraduate School at the University. He has been involved in research since 1991, mainly in Poultry Nutrition with specialty in Feed Evaluation, Vitamin Nutrition and Animal-Environment Interactions. His teaching and research interests are in Poultry, Swine and Cattle. Prof. Bolu was HOD, Animal Production; Pioneer HOD, Aquaculture and Fisheries, University of Ilorin; Pioneer HOD, Animal Science, Landmark University, Omuaran, Nigeria; and HOD, Animal, Range and Wildlife Sciences, Mekelle University, Tigray-Ethiopia. He served on several committees both within and outside the University. Prof. Bolu has publications in refereed journals and presented papers in several conferences. He has won research grants from World Bank DIF, West African Agricultural Productivity Programme, Agricultural Research Council, etc. A registered Animal Scientist (RAS-632) and recipient of Australian African Fellowship Award.
